If we look at Thanksgiving objectively, it really is an evil holiday. 50-80 million turkeys slaughtered, but before being slaughtered, they are bred to be so fat that they can't even stand, have to be artificially inseminated because they are so fat, have their beaks SAWED OFF to prevent them from destroying each other because they are stuffed into cages so small with other turkeys.

If space aliens were watching the U.S. celebrate Thanksgiving via the ambivalent abuse of so many Turkeys, they would be flummoxed to say the least.

Happy several days after Thanksgiving. Just because it happens all the time does not change the fact that on Thanksgiving many hold hands and give a solumn thanks, at the poor,abused before being killed, turkey's expense.

Conan O'brien had a really funny skit about a dead turkey coming back to torment Conan about how bad the dinner conversation was, and how poorly they had
prepared the said dead bird.

It's just weird to have a day of thanks at the suffering of another living creature, by suffering I don't even mean the death of the bird, I mean the way the bird was kept alive until death.
